Gwinnett County Priorities

Medicare for All

Health matters to us. We need a healthy labor force for a healthy economy. A single-payer health care program will cover all Americans along with required prevention measures, like exercise and diet. All citizens will have the freedom to choose single-payer or private healthcare.

Minimum Wage

We need to have a living wage of $15 per hour so a family of four can have affordable housing, also have money to buy groceries and for daily necessities along with some savings for the rainy days.

Green New Deal

Global warming is taking place as you read this. We need to cool down our Earth before it is too late. We need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and replace the fossil fuel-based energy source with renewable energy sources, Solar, Sun, Wind, Hydro, etc. We have to save our Earth and the time is now.

Corporate Tax Reform

We need to reform the present corporate tax system. With the present tax system, we are heading towards creating a $4 trillion deficit. Under the present system there are loopholes for a big corporation to avoid paying taxes; “…the new tax law is making it even easier; 60 profitable Fortune 500 companies paid no taxes on a total of $79 billion of profits earned in 2018.”

Prison System Reform

We need to reform our prison system. First, we need to get rid of any private prison system and focus on how we can provide vocational training and other means to put ordinary misdemeanor inmates back to society. Ultimate goals of any prison system should be to find ways to make our citizens productive and rehabilitate them back to society so they become productive citizens. With our decreasing population, we need all the able bodies to be a productive force in the economy.

Tuition-Free College

In this civilization of nanotechnology, we need to have a very educated labor force. We need skills and talents in the areas of research and development and also in micro-entrepreneurship to provide services regarding this new nanotechnology that requires highly talented consumers in our society. Just think of China and India with combined consumers of 3 billion involved in research and development and in a market economy and what impact it will have on our economy, labor force, research, and development. We need all the talented able bodies to face this huge consumer base of the East. Some benefits of Free College:

  • “It would reduce the amount of student debt being carried over time. ...
  • It would provide more people with relevant vocational knowledge. ...
  • It could lead to new levels of innovation. ...
  • It would allow students to focus on their education. ...
It would provide better economic benefits to society.”

Gun Safety

We should have common-sense gun laws in place. We need universal background check, genetic test, psychological test and training for anyone who wants to keep guns with a permit. But no Guns for Mass Murdering should be allowed in the hands of common citizens.

Economic wellbeing is the key to motivate citizens to seek higher goals in life. We have to create opportunities for our citizens to be gainfully employed. We need to promote micro-entrepreneurship that creates a circulation of funds in the economy and more earning opportunities. Along with this if we can mature my concept of “Peace via Trade!” we should be able to engage the citizens at the grassroots level per economic prosperity. During trade with other countries, the whole economy comes into play from transportation to production. "Win-Win!" situation! In this process, businesses win and create jobs and taxation for the government to be used in public goods and services! Thus, the circulation of funds, the key to any economic development!

Women’s Rights

“These rights include the right to live free from violence, slavery, and discrimination; to be educated; to own property; to vote, and to earn a fair and equal wage. As the now-famous saying goes, “women's rights are human rights.”
